Explorer 1, Navigator 1, & L4 1 - Summer 2026 is underway!

Yesterday we welcomed our very first youth campers of the summer! These campers (Explorer 1, Navigator 1, and L41) were greeted by our staff who have been eagerly awaiting their arrival for the past two weeks as they underwent training and mentorship by our year-round staff here at IPoint. The staff are excited to share and proclaim the Gospel about our two-crowned King with the campers this week, and for the rest of the summer!

Upon arrival yesterday, every Explorer 1, Navigator 1, and L41 student was greeted joyfully by our staff with medieval decorations and welcoming signs! After completing check-in, each student walked through a mini tour of the camp and walked to their cabin for the week. Afterwards, they headed to the barn where they spent some time playing games like dodgeball and volleyball! Once registration was complete, the week officially kicked off at Hillside!

Campers were introduced to their cabin-leader and cabinmates as they went off into a time called "whirlwind!" Every camper enjoyed a pizza party where they got to choose their own toppings and create their own cabin song in preparation for a time called "Hootenanny!" During this event, they performed their cabin song, learned and sang camp songs, and the Navigators were introduced to their speaker for the week, Michael Levang. He encouraged the campers to be ready to learn this week and to always feel comfortable asking questions! To end the night, all campers enjoyed a bonfire singing camp songs and hearing encouragement to keep an eye out for what God will do in their lives as they spend time with Him.

Pray for the students today as they meditate on God's Word, learn about the King who wears two crowns, and enjoy an action-packed theme dinner! Stay tuned for more updates this week!
