Explorer 5 - New Experiences

One JOY of Explorer camp specifically is watching our 3rd-5th graders try NEW things. IPoint is a place where kids can safely try things that are unfamiliar, knowing that they will be supported and encouraged along the way. In sorting through photos from yesterday, it was clear that many campers got to experience several things for the very first time - namely, the zipline and climbing wall, as well as the Christ Hike! Another significant new experience is the opportunity for these elementary students to spend time in God's Word for themselves. Some of them have done this before, but for others, it is brand new! Oh, what a joy it is to see their eyes light up as they learn to look up Scripture, to read it, and to talk about what it means.

This group of Explorers, in particular, has been vocal about their thanksgiving for what Christ has done. Following the Christ Hike last night, they couldn't help but REJOICE OUT LOUD (clapping and cheering) to celebration the resurrection of Jesus! Those are moments we never want to forget.

Continue to pray that this final day of Explorer Camp would open doors for the Word of God to speed ahead & touch every heart!
