We are no strangers to change here at The Point, and while we embrace it, we also understand the value of tradition. Over the years, many people have made and donated thousands of quilts to be sold at the annual Quilt Auction, with proceeds from that auction going toward capital improvements at camp. For many families, the tradition of coming to Inspiration Point on Labor Day weekend to purchase these quilts has been a staple on their family calendar. However, we also realize that times are changing and carving out a day during a coveted final vacation weekend is not always the most ideal for families’ schedules. With this in mind, and with the goal of drawing more people to the annual Quilt Auction, we are changing the date and location for this year’s event.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 13th. Auction will begin at 5:30 PM.
The auction will be held at Quality Toyota in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. In addition to the auction, there will also be a barbecue dinner, Gaslight Theater encore show, and homemade pies for dessert. We are eager to provide an evening of fun and fellowship for the entire family, yet all the while continuing the tradition of using the auction as a way of growing God’s ministry here at Inspiration Point.
